Built by Tony Ruiterman and composite designed by Hi Modulas, she was built to ABS standards and launched in September 1992.

Antaeus has been successfully sailed and campaigned throughout Australiasia and she won many races and still holds 2 offshore records.

Antaeus has been professionally maintained and has undergone several major refits including an extensive refit in 2006 when she was converted to a cruiser racer with the installation of electric winches, roller furling headsails and leisure furl mainsail.

Antaeus has every modcon, she has a beautiful molded Rimu interior and leather  upholstery , she has two staterooms, two bathrooms and accommodation for  up to 10 people.

A powerful 112 horsepower Cummins diesel engine powers Antaeus to a cruising speed of about 9 knots .  This engine has  been well maintained and serviced regularly.

Performance

Antaeus sails at upwinds speeds of around 9 knots and is capable of doing in excess of 20 knots downwind.

She is ideally suited for ocean passages and does not require a large or professional crew.
